The client wanted to modernize its IT infrastructure by migrating critical server workloads from an on premises environment to Microsoft Azure. Server specs, utilization, storage, OS, application dependencies, network, security & backup requirements were assessed to size Azure resources correctly.
Resource groups, VNets, subnets, IP plan, NSGs, routing, DNS, RBAC & naming/tagging standards were prepared before VM deployment.
VMs were sized, provisioned, configured with managed disks & NICs, hardened & validated against the approved design before production.
NSGs, RBAC, endpoint protection, OS hardening, patch management & Defender for Cloud were configured following least privilege principles.
Recovery Services Vault, VM backup policies, retention & recovery testing were configured based on workload criticality.
Azure Monitor & alerting were configured, followed by technical & business application testing, then controlled production go live.
